There For The Music Presents –
Brian Stone & The Masters Of None
The Jess Silk Trio
There for The Music is proud to bring a taste of the grassroots festival fields to Stamford with three outstanding acts:
The Jess Silk Trio
Jess Silk is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from the Black Country. Her shouty but melodic brand of folk/punk music often has her being likened to a female Frank Turner or Billy Bragg, and it gets people sitting up and listening. Jess has appeared at a number of festivals including Bearded Theory, Rebellion and Glastonbury where she shared a stage with Billy Bragg. Jess continues to tour around the UK playing festivals, headline shows and supports for The Levellers, New Model Army and many more. As The Jess Silk Trio, Jess is joined by Maty Tustian (ex Folk The System) on bodhran and Ewan P Stevens (ex Bleeding Hearts) on mandolins.
Jess released her debut album, Break the Bottle, in May 2018 with a packed out show at her spiritual home of Katie Fitzgerald’s in Stourbridge. Since then she’s shared a number of other releases including two live EP’s with tracks taken from shows at Katie’s and HMV Merry Hill. 2020 saw the world shut down and Jess release two (almost completely) self produced EP’s, the first of which, If We’re Damned, was put together from songs that had been gathering metaphorical dust on her harddrive, and the second, There’s A Bar At the End Of the World, a collection of songs written between March and August taking their inspiration from the events of the year. At the end of August 2021 Jess released her second full-length album Blitz Spirit and is currently working on her third studio album which is scheduled to be released in early 2024.

Brian Stone & The Masters Of None
Dynamic, fun, engaging. That’s Brian Stone & The Masters Of None. Brian has been touring his brand of catchy original and traditional songs for many years and has carved out a reputation for exciting, high energy folk that has everyone involved from the start. His energy, enthusiasm and sheer love of performing is irresistibly infectious and the audience quickly feel part of the show. Joined by Maty Tustian (ex Folk The System) on bodhran and Ewan P Stevens (ex Bleeding Hearts) on mandolins, this trio have been packing festival venues to rave reviews; notably playing to a capacity crowd at Bearded Theory festival in 2022.
Brian’s latest album “Fear The Flames” was released to a sell out crowd in April 2022 and follows debut album, “Master Of None” and a further 4 live and studio EPs.

New York Girls. Brian Stone & The Masters Of None featuring Jonny Wallis:
HENSHAW has spent a good deal of the last few years knocking lumps out of his guitar and singing passionately about life and his own experiences. He tours relentlessly across the UK, Europe and has played as far afield as the USA, Canada, China and Taiwan.
Part of the Xtra Mile Recordings / Nick Alexander Music Trust PET NEEDS Tour, Henshaw released “NOBODY CARES, WORK HARDER” in May 2022 and a busy year followed with appearances at the incredible REBELLION Festival, Hear for the Music and Ey Up Mi Duck festivals and a host of other shows.
NOBODY CARES, WORK HARDER is a follow up to the hugely acclaimed FIVE COMPASS LIGHTHOUSE which was released in 2019
Early 2020 saw Paul team up with Dan Booth from FEROCIOUS DOG to play a short run of intimate duet gigs that was hugely popular and received universally positive feedback. The pair also released “REVISIT” a duet album consisting of 10 Henshaw penned songs. They celebrated the end of lockdown with a SOLD OUT show in Feb 2022.
HENSHAW has been writing and working on a full band album with the lead off single released on June 2nd 2023. Its a BIG BIG sound coming your way
There For The Music
There For The Music (TFTM) is part of JMW Promotions which, alongside The Palladium Club, Bideford, holds a flagship festival “Here For The Music” annually in North Devon, headlined in 2023 by Newton Faulkner, Ferocious Dog and Mad Dog McRea. Here For The Music has its roots in supporting grassroots musicians who found themselves unable to earn a living or receive government support during the pandemic. In response, many artists turned to online platforms, engaging in virtual busking where viewers could contribute to their virtual “hat”. Starting with small socially distanced festivals showcasing these artists, it has grown to become one of the most highly rated events in the grassroots festival calendar.
As a new arm of HFTM, TFTM aims to deliver a mix of mini one day festivals and events, at indoor and outdoor venues and at festival stages as part of other music festivals, gig nights and much more all across the country. All events are to support grassroots music venues and independent artists and bands and will be rounded off every June with Here For The Music Festival.
