Lazy Oyster Jazz is a quartet playing the music of the jazz age, made famous during the UK’s jazz revival in the 60’s by Kenny Ball, Chris Barber and Humphrey Lyttelton. The members of the band are:

Chas McDevitt (no … not Freight Train!) sings and plays trumpet. Had a band in London for many years before moving here and continues to arrange new material for the band.

Jonathan Graham (gtr/bjo) is a well-known local musician, composer  and arranger, currently working on a new musical called ‘The Key to Love’ which will open in Stamford in May.

Tony Teale (sax/clt) played at the Cavan Club in Liverpool at the time of the Beatles and has been a bandleader in Cambridgeshire for many years.

Chris Newman plays bass and backs many soul, jazz and funk bands in the area.
