Gren Penn (guitar vocals and melodeon) and Dawn Birch-James (Dawn the Fiddle) are delighted to play an original and dynamic take on traditional folk tunes and songs. It s really a great fusion of folk, classical, blues and a bit of punky vigour for good measure.

Gren started his music career in punk and new wave bands enjoying record labels and brief fame with a hit single. He then worked as a sound engineer in famous studios around the world. Later on he developed a true passion for folk music. He is currently a key member of Belchamp Morris and plays in a local band The Kitchenettes.
Dawn was classically trained and is a violin tutor mainly for adults who want to learn or want to pick up the violin again. She plays first violin in an orchestra, is a member of Red Myrtle a classical folk fusion band and plays for Talk of the Village. She also runs Yaxley Folk session second Tuesday of every month.
